National PTA's First Male President
Hawai'i PTSA welcomes National PTA's first male president,
Mr. Chuck Saylors.

Representing a long line of visionary leaders since 1897 for an organization
once known as the National Congress of Mothers, Charles “Chuck” Saylors
is the 51st president of National PTA and the first male to assume the position.


National PTA 's First African American Male CEO
Hawai'i State PTSA welcomes National PTA's  CEO

Byron V. Garrett was officially introduced to PTA members as the new and
first-ever male, African-American CEO of the National PTA.  In his remarks,
Garrett paid homage to the founders of PTA and to his predecessor, Warlene
Gary.  He said, “Now is the time  for us to build a bridge from the past to the
present and the future.”
